This poetry workshop seeks to teach people how to use creative writing to access, process, and directly communicate their emotions (both positive and negative). Steps include freewriting, visualization, identifying consistencies or running themes, and stripping away excess words. The goal is to write a poem that is concise but still powerful. Through abstract language and metaphors, participants will learn to take the reader straight to the gut punch of what they’re feeling. This workshop is beginner-friendly.
All ages and experience levels are welcome!
