Internships
Make.Shift onboards a new cohort of 3-6 interns on a quarterly basis. All interns are expected to attend our orientation. Internships are available for college credit and may offer some financial reimbursement for specific projects (see job descriptions below). Internships run for eight weeks, but participants are welcome to extend for another quarter.

How to apply
STEP 1: Send your resume and cover letter to outreach@makeshiftartspace.org. Please include the internship you are applying for in the subject line. See due dates below.
Winter Internships:
Applications due: First of January
Internship start date: Last Saturday of January
Internship end date: Third Saturday of March
Spring Internships:
Applications due: First of April
Internship start date: Third Saturday of April
Internship end date: Third Saturday of June
Summer Internships
Applications due: First of July
Internship start date: Third Saturday of July
Internship end date: Second Saturday of September
Fall Internships:
Applications due: First Monday in October
Internship start date: Third Saturday of October
Internship end date: First Saturday of December
STEP 2: A staff member will reach out to you within 2 weeks if we are able to set up an interview.
STEP 3: If accepted, you will be expected to attend our orientation. See sign up and dates below. Please note: Due to our staff capacity we may not be able to onboard every intern applicant. We encourage people to apply every quarter and/or consider volunteering as another way to get involved.

Paid opportunities
We understand that not everyone can afford to commit to an unpaid internship, which is why we partner with other non-profits to provide paid positions to those who qualify. If you are interested in temporary paid internships at Make.Shift, first reach out to one of the following organizations to see if you qualify.
