Abolition 101 w/ Unchain Whatcom. Saturday, February 15th from 1-3pm at MakeShift Art Space (306 Flora St.) $15, NOTAFLOF & sliding-scale pricing available.
Learn about the theory of abolition—the theory of a world without prisons, police, and the bondage of oppression. Unchain Whatcom is made up of a group of abolitionists working to abolish the Prison Industrial Complex (PIC) in Whatcom County through our pen-pal program, working to stop the construction of a new mega jail in Whatcom County, and fighting to improve the material conditions of people inside the Whatcom County Jail and Interim Work Center.
This workshop is a part of the Strategic Resistance Series: a workshop series to skill up your communities living under the oppressive presidential administrations of the past, present, and future. Click here to register for all the workshops happening throughout the month.
