Cupids Brawl will be hosted in the venue of the MakeShift Art Space on February 24th, 2023. Inspired by my favorite artists, I am excited to host and announce the first annual Bellingham Brawl. This old school hip hop style event was created to be broken into two separate parts. The event will begin with three artist performances, Salem Hush, Martii Mc-Fly and Ethan Lucci who will open up the first hour and a half of the show with some of their personal music.The second and primary function of the show will be a freestyle rap battle. The winner of the battle will be decided by crowd noise after each artist has had a chance to perform. Since Makeshift has the policy of “no booze no drugs no jerks”, we ask that all participants keep the battle in good faith and bring a positive attitude. Obviously rap culture has a certain connotation and history, but my goal is to make a statement to the community how rap can affect people by bringing them together, not tearing us apart. I hope to bring more attention to the Rap industry in Bellingham, and to open up the stage for up and coming artists to collaborate and have a chance to showcase their abilities to their peers.
