Salem Hush Presents: Breast Cancer Benefit Show

  • Make.Shift Art Space 306 Flora St Bellingham, WA, 98225 (map)

We are breaking our monthly open mic tradition so we can open up our space to support some of our community members in a time of need. Salem Hush is a leader in the local Hip-Hop community, avid supporter of Make.Shift, College Student and keeper of the peace at The Blue Room. Recently, his partner was diagnosed with breast cancer. In his own words:

“I had some unfortunate news this week. My girlfriend of 12 years was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. It’s a serious form of breast cancer. I am a student at WWU and also work weekends at The Blue Room. Although I work hard, I struggle to keep up with bills. But I make it happen every month.

Since Judy will be going through surgery and chemotherapy, I am expected to pick up the slack. Which I am more than happy to do. However, there are personal bills that she has that still need to be taken care of.

I graduate this summer from WWU. I can no longer afford tuition for my last quarter.”

Come support with this $5 dollar show! There will be a live go found me and raffles.
