The sense of wonder a person feels when they look at the stars is like nothing else. Pictures from deep-space telescopes can show us what IS out there, and my works show us what COULD be out there. The imagination is the strongest telescope there is.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I am inspired by and attracted to the messy and gross, the unsightly, the clutter people sweep under their beds, piling up collecting dust. The artifacts that make us who we are, the ones we hide and the ones we share. The parts of people that seem inconsequential or ugly interest me, the parts that are not perfect or pretty, but add up to make us all whole. Through my art I want to share these facets of people, including myself, unprocessed and raw. My desire is to create unease by revealing the beauty in the imperfect, broken, and grotesque. I believe this unease leads to reflection, connection, and empathy.
